Google Translate on Android gets instant camera English/Japanese translation.

Google Translate is capable of translating 103 languages by typing, translate 52 languages offline, instantly translate two-way speech in 32 languages and more. With technologies long taking down frontiers, we the people of planet earth often have to interact with different languages and cultures and Google Translate comes in handy and is able to do more during travels.

In the latest update to the app, Google has added support for instant camera translation for English to/from Japanese. For that to work, simply download the Japanese language pack within the app, take a picture of the text you want to translate and Google Translate will show the translated text on top of the image. It is that simple.

The update is already rolling in Google Play Store.
