WeChat gets KitKat compatibility, Google Contacts support and more.

WeChat is a multi-function messaging app that is extremely popular in China and other asian countries with over 50 million downloads for a platform that boasts 300 million active users. As with other platforms of its kind, WeChat gives free chat and video sessions to its users including a push to talk mode. WeChat is also a multi-platform app in that it works on Android, iOS and Windows Phone. 

WeChat has been updated to version 5.0.3 with the following changes:

- Fully compatible with Android 4.4
- Sign up via Email
- Add Google Contacts to find more friends
- Make Voice Call to WeChat friends
- Manually clean WeChat files to save space
- Export chat history via Email
- Edit and send Favorite Messages to friends

    Except it isn't actually fully 4.4 compatible. None of the location based features work.

    I have upgraded my nexus 4 to android 4.4. Wechat find people nearby functionality is not working. As soon as i click to launch that feature , application closes.

      after update to Android 4.4, all wechat 5.x version can not using video call , people nearbly , shake and etc//

    I'm using nexus 5 on 4.4, video call and walkie talkie causes app to crash with black screen then restart. Nor good.
