Sony announces two tablets powered by honeycomb.

Sony Corporation today announced to Sony tablets powered by Android 3.0, also known as Honeycomb. The two tablets, the S1 and the S2 are optimized "for rich media entertainment" and "ideal for mobile communication and entertainment" respectively. Unfortunately, Sony did not announce the pricing.

The S1 has a 9.4inch screen while the S2 has two 5.5inch displays that can be folded.


 “‘Sony Tablet’ delivers an entertainment experience where users can enjoy cloud-based services on-the-go at any time. We’re aiming to create a new lifestyle by integrating consumer hardware, including ‘Sony Tablet’ with content and network,” said Kunimasa Suzuki, Corporate Executive, SVP, and Deputy President of Consumer Products & Services Group.
