SofaScore for Android now provide links to similar tournaments and detailed Baseball match statistics.

You're a sports fan and away from a TV set while your favorite sport is live on TV, SofaScore is the app you need on your Android device to follow the games and should the name be any indication, SofaScore will bring live scores to your device as well as short videos of the actions. Since SofaScore covers pretty much of any sports, I strongly recommend you download it.

The app was updated today with the following new features:
  • In tournament details, we have added links to similar tournaments (other league groups or tournaments on the same division level).
  • Match statistics in Baseball are now divided to batting, pitching and fielding.
Check out SofaScore in Google Play Store.

SofaScore adds a dark theme to its Android app.

Dark mode is a very useful feature and it's nice to see more and more developers adding it into their apps, making it easy on the eyes. Even Google is testing dark mode in Android P developer preview and YouTube too. Today, SofaScore, my favorite sports app, is finally adding a dark theme to its Android app.

The night mode is not enabled by default after installing the update. Enabling it can be done quickly and easily in the app settings with a simple slide to 'On'. That done, you can now follow your games in the dark without bothering your partner and blasting your eyes with white light.

The update is currently available globally for all to download and raises the version number to 5.60.1. Check it out in Google Play Store.

SofaScore update provides detailed information for World Cup 2018 stadiums.

The World Cup 2018 is ongoing and the excitement is building up as we get closer to the semis. Today SofaScore is updating its app for Android with info about the stadiums where the games will be played. With this update, SofaScore users will be able to find information about the stadium under the Details tab along with a beautiful picture, the location, and capacity. This is not a big update, but if you're the kind of fans who look into details, you'll like this one. Tomorrow's game opposes Brazil against Belgium will be played at the Kazan Arena. Unfortunately, SofaScore does not provide a detailed map, but, at least, fans will be able to use their phones and Google Maps to find their way.

The update is already available in Google Play Store for download. Enjoy the games tomorrow.

World Cup 2018: Forget Paul the Octopus & Achilles the cat. Enter Babushka, SofaScore's human predictor.

We're hours from the official launch of the 2018 FIFA World Cup with the host country, Russia, playing against Saudi Arabia and if you are of the betting type and needs some precog before shelling out money, I strongly recommend you must check with Babushka first. Confused? Let me explain.

Remember Paul the Octopus back at World Cup 2010 who accurately chose the winners of each game and Paul became a star - maybe not for bookies. This year's official soothsayer for the World Cup is Achilles, a deaf,  Russian white cat. He will be presented with bowls marked with playing teams' flag and Achilles first prediction for tonight's inaugural game is naturally Russia. Now, back to Babushka.

Since Paul the octopus, each sports event have had their own animals trying to predict games results, but none have matched Paul's record. Well aware of that fact, SofaScore - my favorite Android sport's app - is bringing in a human predictor called Babushka. According to the SofaScore, "She has lived through almost all of the championships (missed only the first 2), and this will be her 22nd World Cup. So if there's anyone who knows how it's gonna go down - then that's Babushka!" Unlike the 'official' World Cup's animals, Babushka will not only make predictions but also give daily tips and some witty analysis on her YouTube Channel.

Her first video has been published and, like Achilles the cat, Babushka predicts a Russia win against Saudi Arabia. Whether she gets this right or not, Babushka is just adorable and her pre-games analysis are well thought out. Something animals can't do.

Check out Babushka Tips on SofaScore official YouTube channel and enjoy World Cup 2018.

SofaScore added push notifications for soccer goal scorers in big update for Android.

Today SofaScore published a big update to its Android app that brings the app to version 5.51.0 and includes new features that will please soccer and motorsport fans alike.
As a soccer fan, push notifications is my favorite feature and as I'm not always in front of my TV to watch every game, push notifications on the phone and my Android watch bring me almost every action of the games instantly. Every time a team scores, SofaScore lets me know about it along with the name of the team that scored. In today's update, SofaScore added push notifications for goal scorers, meaning the app will also push the name of the player who scored. This feature must be manually enabled in the app notifications settings. SofaScore says "that if you have notifications for regular "Goals" activated as well, you'll get 2 notifications in short period." The company also said that not all games offer goal scorer notifications.

The 2018 Formula 1 World Championship will begin in 15 days with the Melbourne Grand Prix and it makes sense that SofaScore moved the popular single seater car race to the Motorsport category. I can't wait for the new F1 season to begin and see how it all unfolds in SofaScore.

Here's the complete changelog:
  1. Long awaited feature – we have finally added push notifications for goal scorers. Please go to app “Notifications settings” and activate it manually.
  2. You can now follow Motorsports and Cycling races, receive notifications and have a complete race schedule in Favorites
  3. Minor, but important change – Formula 1 is now available under Motorsports category!
  4. Pre-match standings/form is added to event details – quick overview of team’s form, rank, and points before the match.
  5. Goal distribution is now visible in “Matches” tab
  6. Team’s top players' list of ice hockey teams, currently in NHL only but more leagues are coming soon
  7. Localized “Vavel” news feed for selected tournaments
  8. Option to change default currency in-app for transfers value, player value, tournament prize money and so on

SofaScore now remembers previously defined filters and more in Android update.

Two weeks ago, SofaScore updated its Android app with new features that gave soccer fans the ability to track players transfer across many leagues in the world, as well as a filter list to easily retrieve what they're looking for. Today, SofaScore published another update that improves on these features.

From now on, the app will remember “previously defined filters”. Basically, SofaScore will remember your last filter. Unfortunately, the app cannot save more than one filter.

SofaScore also improved the league filter, making it easier to bring up a list of leagues in a particular country. Say you want to retrieve the leagues list for England, simply type ‘England’ in the ‘League’ field and the app will look-up and list all of England’s soccer leagues. This is also a quick and easy way to filter transfers by league.

Finally, SofaScore will list at the top the countries where TV broadcast are available.

Check out SofaScore version 5.50.0 in Google Play Store.

SofaScore for Android updated with latest soccer players transfer data.

SofaScore, my favorite sports app, has been updated. The first update for the year 2018 has for main feature information about players transfers. This new option can be found under the Leagues tab, literally. And that’s quite an extensive list that covers every football league worldwide. Fortunately, SofaScore built-in a good filtering tool.

Tapping ‘Players Transfers’ reveals a long list of transfers with such data as the transfer amount, the date the transfer occurred and, obviously, the teams involved in the transfer. The ‘Player Value’ tab lists the players by value. While the ‘Transfer Fee’ tab lists the transfers from the most expensive to least. You can tap each entry in the list for more details about the player and choose to receive notifications for this player. Finally, the last tab filters the transfers by date. Like I said, the transfer feature covers pretty much every league.

SofaScore makes it even easier to filter that extensive list of transfers. Simply tap ‘Filter list’ to do a manual filter by nationality, league, player position, and age. Start typing and the app will pull up the matching leagues and nationality for you. A quick and easy way to find what you’re looking for.

Here are the other items in the changelog:

·       Squads are now available for teams in Handball (ex. EHF Euro 2018)

·       “Forum” is replaced by “SofaScore News” in navigation drawer. Get an insight in SofaScore project from a slightly different perspective.

Make sure you download/update SofaScore in Google Play Store to get all the info you want on your favorite sport.

SofaScore now supports Beach volleyball and Table tennis; Automatic forum sign in.

SofaScore is my favorite sports app on my mobile phones and Android Wear watch - I currently use a Zenwatch 2. It's my go-to app for live scores, sports news for all leagues and competitions in 22 sports, a kind of a one-stop shop for your favorite sports.

SofaScore was updated today with support for two additional sports: Beach volleyball and Table tennis. Fans of these two sports will get live scores and other data about their favorite sports and players.

This update also includes other new features like automatic sign in to forums, provided you are already signed in to the app. Check out the full change log below:

·        Link to “Dropping odds” page in app navigation drawer.

·        Option to filter players with minimum number of appearances in “Top Players” tab (50% in Football and 30% in Basketball).

·        Improved suggestions for venue/stadium changes.

·        In Android 8.0, new set of adaptive launcher icons

SofaScore is an app that is regularly updated with new features and one that I strongly recommend if you’re a sports fan. Oh, you can also get live score on your home screen thanks to widgets for all supported leagues.

If you want more features, SofaScore includes in-app purchases to unlock them. Before you can achieve that, download the free app in Google Play Store.

Live sports score app SofaScore gets new Android 8 notification features, now covers Cycling & FIFA rankings.

Cycling fans rejoice. SofaScore, the popular live sports score app on Android, has been updated today and the team added Cycling to the app. I must admit I am not a fan of cycling, so there’s not much I can write about that sport. The change log itself does not provide any details. If you’re a cycling fan, grab the update in the store to learn more.

This update also makes SofaScore compatible with Android 8.0 Oreo and will provide a completely new notification settings experience. I expect SofaScore to take advantage of the new notifications features Google added to Android 8.

Soccer managers are always the least talked about, unless they’re fired or are Jose Mourinho, the Manchester United coach. In this update, SofaScore is introducing a history chart for managers showing average points and time spent with teams.

SofaScore now also covers FIFA games and will give details on international matches and national teams.

This update, version 5.44.3, also includes the following:

·       More odds are now available in app.

·       ATP series information for tennis tournaments.

·       Information about matches played on neutral ground.

Check out the update in Google Play Store.

SofaScore for Android now lets you change language in-app, provides heatmap for players and more.

SofaScore, the sports live score app for Android, has been updated to version 5.43.0. Users will now be able to change the language in the app settings independent of the device language. The list of supported languages is quite extensive.

This new version also includes a new feature for soccer fans where they will now get a player heatmap. I am not sure what that is, but if I were to make a guess, it sounds like app users will get a map showing players positioning on the field. The area where they spend more time will be showed in red, yellow or orange. The image below kind of says it all.

This update adds vROI to the app which SofaScore says is a value which “is now visible on the table (value in orange). This is the actual value by which we sort our predictors.” Does that make sense? vROI is also available in user profile.

The news page has been replaced by SofaScore forum in the navigation drawer. Should you want to access the forum in your browser, go to forum.sofascore.com.

The last item in this update provides the “number of titles won by a current title holder and location of the host in tournament details.”

Sports fans can get the update in Google Play Store

SofaScore now lets you jot down notes in match details.

SofaScore has been updated today as it prepares itself for the next season of the English Premier League - and maybe for other leagues across the globe, but I'm a fan of EPL.

In this update, soccer fans will be able to jot down notes within the app. An icon has been placed next to the sharing icon in the match details page. This feature could prove useful if you need to remember something related to the game.

The other feature is about TV broadcast. When the latter is "available in a certain country, this will be showed directly on TV channels country list (green dot)."

SofaScore is available free in Google Play Store and contains some in-app purchase.

SofaScore for Android now lets fans report confirmed player transfers.

SofaScore Live Score for Android has been updated to version 5.40.3 today and sports fans are going to love it. With most soccer leagues being on vacation and it is the transfer season, SofaScore wants to keep fans excited and this update brings some interaction in the sense that fans will be able to report confirmed player transfers. If fans spot a confirmed transfer in the news, they post about it within SofaScore by tapping on the pencil icon in the top right corner of the app of the player page and select "New transfer". They will be able to provide details as shown in the screenshot below, including the source of the information.

SofaScore now provides list of missing and injured players for selected matches.

SofaScore Live Score app for Android received a minor update that brings additional data that will please the sports fans among us. The app will now show "missing and injured players below the lineups in selected matches." The change log does not provide any details about the selected matches but we can guess it will apply to the top of the leagues clubs.

The update also adds personal information on Cricket player as well as career statistics. Again, this is a minor update that raises the version number to 5.39.9 and can be downloaded or updated in Google Play Store

SofaScore for Android update brings referee profile page and search for managers.

My Favorite sports app got updated today. The app now provides a referee profile page with the picture of the referee and a list of their past matches. I'm not sure how that is useful, but it's there should this be of any interest to sports fan. SofaScore also adds the option to search for managers with all the details o their career.

Version 5.38.4 of SofaScore also includes the following features:

  • Reply to someone in chat. Use "Reply" option in dropdown menu of their message, or tag them with "@nickname".
  • Matches in tournaments without rounds, like NBA, NHL, and MLB, are now divided by days .
  • You can now suggest corrections for teams.

SofaScore provides details about the type of surface in Tennis match.

You're a sports fan and away from a TV set while your favorite sport is live, SofaScore is the app you need on your Android device to follow the games and should the name be any indication, SofaScore will bring live scores to your device as well as short videos of the actions. Since SofaScore covers pretty much of any sports, I strongly recommend you download it.

SofaScore pushed a minor update for tennis fans today. Besides the usual games statistics, Tennis fans will get information on the type of surface in the match details. Hard core fans won't necessarily need that, but it might make sense for casual fans. Not everyone knows that Monte Carlo's surface is clay - That's where the ATP tour is at right now. In addition, users will be able to filter Tennis games by surface and will find a link to qualifications tournaments from the details of the main tournament.

Check out SofaScore 5.37.5 in Google Play Store and enjoy the games.

New chat rooms and player attributes comparison in SofaScore for Android.

My favorite sports app on Android, SofaScore has been updated with some new features soccer fans will like. The app version has changed to version 5.33.0 and offers the following new features:

More chat rooms for you to share your thoughts with other fellow soccer fans in new team and player dedicated chat rooms.

Comparison of player attributes can be found in the player details and will offer their attributes overview. Once you've found the attribute - no seriously, this is hilarious - that interests you, you can search for other players and compare their attributes.

For those users who are lucky enough to have their devices running Android Nougat, SofaScore has added a quick tile in Android's pull down settings menu to enable and disable notifications. I'm waiting for tonight's English Premier league games to see how this new feature works and if it adopts Nougat's bundled notifications.

Finally the update provides average player ratings  in match lineups before the game.

SofaScore sports app adds all match statistics for NFL and Shoot map for NBA.

My favorite sports app on Android has been updated again with features that will please fans of the NFL and NBA. This update provides a lot of info, most of them statistics in regards to touchdowns, first downs, passing, and rushing. SofaScore also introduces team rosters, with player details and seasonal statistics.

On the NBA front, SofaScore added Shoot map, a graphical representation of positions players scored during a game. Certainly a feature that can be improved upon and become more lively.

SofaScore for Android updated with filter by goals scored and conceded.

Last weekend, Liverpool, my favorite Premier League team took an expected 2-0 defeat at newly promoted Burnley. A damning performance considering the 4-3 win against Arsenal the week before in the opening game of the league. Liverpool has a trend of performing well against the league's top teams and very often to lose easy games. However, I doubt they will be able to reiterate their first game performance against Tottenham this weekend. We'll see.

In its two first games, Liverpool has scored four goals and took in 5. I know this thanks to the new update for SofaScore, my favorite live scoring app. Version 5.25 of the app brings goal filtering scored or conceded home or during away games. The developer also added info about players transfer for teams with latest arrivals and departures.

The update is available for download in Google Play store. SofaScore is a free app that is compatible with Android Wear.

SofaScore for Android updated with countdown to Euro and Copa America 2016.

Version 5.21 of SofaScore for Android is out in the store for fans eagerly awaiting two major competitions, namely Copa America and Euro 2016. I will be watching the latter closely, being a supporter of the German national team and I obviously firmly believe they will win this competition quite easily given their strong performance during the last world cup - ask Brazil.

So, as I was saying, Sofascore is offering through this update a countdown to these two soccer competitions. You will be able to follow the competition and receive notifications onn your phone and watch. Besides the countdown, the apps also offers some news to keep you waiting until June 10 for Euro and June 4 for Copa America. The app also added manager profiles along with their performance statistics, complete team history and tactical formation.

Without further due, go into Google Play Store and download SofaScore for Android.
