Microsoft makes Arrow Launcher "Apps" page fully customizable on Android.

If you joined the Arrow Launcher beta program, you should check out the update that Microsoft posted in the Play Store. They made the launcher's home page fully customizable based on popular demand. Users will be able to put whatever apps and widgets they want on the Apps page. The double tap screen to lock is also back.

Microsoft also added Bing search, which is accessible with a swipe up on the dock and the Bing search box will appear at the top.

Collage feature. Hold down on any photos to hide, annotate or share. Microsoft also added live wallpaper support.

Again, these features are available in the beta version of Arrow Launcher, but it should take long before they make their way to the official app. Check it out in the Google Play store.

Microsoft's Picturesque Lock Screen for Android gets support for NFL.

Microsoft's Android exclusive lock screen app, Picturesque, has been updated today with support for NFL. Once this option is activated in the app's settings, Picturesque will display games notifications right on the lock screen. Previously, only Cricket was supported and Microsoft plans on adding more sports soon. The update also contains some performance improvements and bug fixes.

Bing for Android released for Verizon customers only.

Unless you live in the U.S. and is a Verizon customer, Bing is not yet available to everyone. Not that I need Bing on my Nexus One, but I will never understand such moves from Microsoft, Google and the other major players. Why not just make apps available to the world? Why is that the different app stores do not have a uniform view and offering? Why does it have to be location based?

That said, Microsoft Bing app "features the Bing image of the day, complete with clickable hotspots". Also included is the ability to do voice search, image search and more. No words yet from Microsoft as to when Bing will reach out to the rest of us non-Verizon customers.
